Ausseerland is the area of the Salzkammergut which lies in the province Steiermark (Styria).

This is a beautiful area, often little known outside of Austria. There are the tranquil lakes of Grundlsee and Altausee, excellent skiing at snow sure Tauplitz and Loser, and wonderful walking and cycling trails.  There are excellent thermal spas at Bad Aussee and Bad Mitterndorf,  top class golf course at Bad Aussee and picture postcard villages.
